I will be visiting the area for work in two weeks for a few days to meet with a customer and was hoping to have enough time to sneak a half day or even just a couples of hours in with a guide. Salmon fishing preferred.

Having never participated in this fishery I'd like to hear from others who they'd recommend if they would be so kind as to share. Thanks in Advance.

Contact Weigh West in Tofino, I have fished with them a couple of times and had excellent trips. They fish outside in the Ocean when it's doable if not they have their own Puget sound to fish in with flat calm water. Fishing inside Vancover Island is one of the most beautiful places on the west coast, last time I was there we saw at least 10 different Black bears beach combing, otters, and whales.

LOVE Tofino, and the fishing.
#1 . Bobby Kimoto. This guy is one of the best guides Anywhere. Super nice, works very hard, and knows fish and the area better than anyone. Former head guide at second recommendation. He has a nice website, but is most likely already booked.
#2. Weigh West resort. Great people and very good guides. May be a good option if you want to find someone to split a trip or half day with.
One thing of note is they charge a little different up there. Last time I was there it was $125.00 per hour for the boat, with 4 hour min. for half day, 8 hour full day.

Some of the best money I have spent on guided fishing was at Tofino.

Huntar gave you great advice...Bobby is probably the most consistent guide in town and very hard working, doubtful you will get a day with him this year unless its in September...now until 3rd week August is prime time. Weigh West guides are good for most part, you have the benefit of the network with them as they usually fish 4 or 5 boats that all share info. Shawn Hillier with Ospray Charters has been around a long time lots of local knowledge and Chris out of Tofino Swell Lodge is good too.

If you are there between Aug. 21-27, contact Josh Temple of Prime Time Adventures. Those are the only dates he'll be there before he heads back out after grander bluefin or marlin...
