It's okay cj, good job at least hookin up! Light can be okay and sometime needed depending where you are and what time of day it is. I was in my own water from 0 dark 30...running my 10'6" 8-17 with 8 lb leader.

It'll take time to learn all the broken cogs in the Washington fishing machine, and it'll take us till we are old to see results (if we start work now)..best you can do is read and try to understand as much as you can with scientific data and work from truely accurate sources...and then try to pass it on to as many receptive people as you can to change their outlook too

There is a lot of woody debris and slots along the bank in the stretch between where purdy dumps in to the main channel and fish house corner and in between fish house and the Dyke at upper hunter..tree on left bank wink ..don't know why more ppl don't put in time there, but it helps the egg bite for some wink

I don't know why more people don't fish eggs in the entire river! It's epic in every hole if you have a little room to fish eggs. wink

Above 106 below 106 everywhere.. had to move.. the bite on eggs is early and once the flossers show eggs are useless.. my buddies and I (6 of us) walked over to a hole wiyh 4 or 5 drifters and pushed them out of the hole. It helped but in the end nothing to show for it.. this time!

There ya go cj! That's the trick , just get some buddies and push the fackers outta there...

Had one dude on friday friday get a nice hen below us but when he heard/saw what we had outta our hole, well he brought 4 of his closest buddies in there at o dark 30 on saturday....they fish bobbers for about 30.mintues then came the long leaders and rip rip rip...us 4 at the next hole saw this and 3 of us peeled off, headed down there and stood in between them and the hole and started fishing. This obviously pissed them off and after words were said we just stated that they weren't "fishing" anymore, so we figured they were done wink
They got pissed at this, more words said and we suggested that they leave before we had to escort them to their cars, they packed up and slicked away with us laughing and Makin fun of them the whole way outta earshot. .poor guy went over and whined about it on gay fishin wink

Lol yea there is are some great bobber holes right off Purdy but the flossers are heavy there as well.. I got to the hole around 4am and about an hour before daylight you could here the familiar snap of heavy mono every few minutes.. one of these days when the season is not in I'm gonna throw on my wetsuit and goggles and go cut out line and gear from those holes.. benefit everyone in the end, plus I bet I get a payday in gear!!

It's not that bad. I've never seen crap floating in the water...and I have fished it more than a few times over the years. Is it dirty? Full of Trash? Yes. However, is there loads of turds floating down the river...no.

The Gull thing....is 100% BS! The tribe produces more gut piles and fish waste than the sport guys; if the gulls are crapping in the river in larger quantities, then it is the gill netters fault. Plus...what about when the fish die after spawning? The gulls eat those and chit all over the place...give me a break!

Everyone in that video had a complete bias with the Tribal Gill netting Business.

Im not defending what happens on that river....EVER! But the tribe takes no responsibility for this rivers downfall. The Dams are bad, but gill nets get them before they can even get to the dams. Logging killed the gravel on the Skok, but when the fish can't get to gravel...they never stand a chance. The State rolled over and let them net the mouth this year...how is that for a fair shake at fish for us whities? Fish that WE pay for!

I was there opening day for sport fishing...and you can't tell me the whisky bottles and natural ice cans where all from people there fishing? Unless guys start early this year? just food for thought next time anyone gives some crap about native rights and them wanting shut down any river because of trash.
