I'm in need of some help & a favor...

So I'm having pretty bad left shoulder issues that leaves me unable to use it for the most part. I can move my shoulder / arm some (enough to crank), but I can't bear any weight or pulling. I have my annual Westport Tuna outing this Sunday and there is no way I can roll with a right handed retrieve reel. I'm right handed but I prefer to reel left. Most boats have all right handed retrieve and possibly a single lefty on board. I have calls out to board brothers and the boat for assistance, BUT I can't take the chance and get over there to find out I'm hosed for the day.

I'm looking to see if anyone has and would be willing to loan me a non-level wind left handed Tuna reel for the day? I'd prefer something fast ala Avet, but will take any grinder. In return, I'll load it with 50 - 60 lb. braid and toss in some loins. I'm in the Woodinville / Snoho area and am willing to drive a bit for pick up. Alternatively, I will be driving out to Westport Saturday during the day and can make a side stop.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Nick

Hi Kingdog - pm sent!

Hank - thanks. The docs want to give it a few weeks to see if the current treatments help before deciding on next steps (or surgery if it comes to it). I've already paid $500 into the trip, so there ain't no cowarding out.

If I can't get a lefty, I'll either reel in backwards or just pitch swim baits as you suggest. Not preferred, but beggars can't be choosers.

Kingdog is the man! He went above and beyond - much to my great fortune and pleasure. He basically saved my butt (er shoulder) BIG time. It would have been a no-go for me without. Great gear and an even better guy! Thank you again KD for having the trust & heart to help another fellow fisherman and a complete stranger to boot! Looking forward to wetting a line with you one day. thumbs

As for the catchin'? Well, lets just say I have two bum shoulders now. We absolutely crushed it. Crushed. It. Full report and pics coming sometime. I gotta get cannin'. banana
