Bob I know you have been asked this before but Why do you paint the noses on your plugs black and what do you use to paint them? Do you get more strikes on the painted plugs? I am getting my gear ready for summer runs and would like to have every advantage I can.
Thanks RAMPRAT

No reason frankly other than not trying to fix what ain't broke. Started fishing them ten years ago or so and haven't found my success to be better with unpainted when I've stuck them out there ... so I'll just let it be. Technically, it may have something to do with an improvement sillouhette.

Ramprat:

After reading the posts on here, I took a couple of "old beat up" plugs and painted the bill on a couple and the whole plug on others. I'll be trying them soon.......paint I used was bought at Walmart brand name Plasti-kote. The paint itself is a fast dry enamel. I chose Flat Black.
