I'm heading to the Southern Oregon/Northern California coast this weekend. Has anyone heard of any good surf casting spots in that area?

I'm thinking the main target will be surf perch? I don't know... maybe I'll target Great Whites and make a real trip out of it?!?

7 miles North of Gold Beach is Nesika Beach. 3 oz. dropper and a mole crab held on with 2 Gammie 1/0s will do the trick.

Not sure if your timing is correct, but the south Jetty at Bandon has been good to us in the past. Check the tides before venturing out. Good luck.

We headed to Gold Beach and fished the north side of the jetty. Unfortunately, we were casting from the surf into about a 25 mph wind. Talk about cold! All I caught was a cold.

Next time, I think I will cast from the jetty into the mouth of the river. It seemed a lot warmer over there.
