We won't know for sure until the count in the locks comes in but it looks good for this year, they expect ocean survival to be good.

From what I heard the indians will start counting around the 12th of june and if the fish show it should open in late july. They will have updates in the local paper.

I fished pretty much the same way. 2/0 red Gamakatsu, behind a dodger. I sure hope they let us fish for them this year. That fishery is a blast

As of last Wednesday they had counted Several hundred sockeye through the ladder at the lochs (a good sign for this early). Currently the ladder is closed down a few days for maintenance -so no new numbers until next week. The state has said it will make a decision on whether or not there will be a sport season on July 8. By that time they will be able to make a fairly accurate projection of the run size. In past years they have not opened it unless the run exceeds 350,000 fish.

I'm confused please help either there run predictions are way off or somebody can't count why is it every year the fishing in lake washington never opens but the cat fish bins can be filled, whole salmon with eggs still intact tossed in to 4'x4'x4' wood boxes i've have watched these trucks come and go many times over, filling these trucks box after box, is that why our salmon are in such trouble because of the piss poor managing that our wdfw is practicing , is that groosly mismanaged
