After reading this site for six months now, I have decided to register, and ask you guys and gals for some help.
I have an old Rienell 16 foot runabout fishing boat. This 1960 model needs a new windshield real bad(it doesn't have one).
I have looked everywhere, and called everywhere in the Everett area. Nobody has been able to help me.
Is there any boat salvage yards in the area?
Is there anyone who could make one? The windshield is the old style that is rounded on both sides. It needs to be about 67 inches wide and 22inches tall in the center.
If anyone could give some some leads I would
appreciate it.
Thanks

I would suggest replacing it w/ newer technology. I think you could easily make one yourself out of Lexan. Try Caddilac Plastics or Professional Plastics in the tukwila area. You might also try a local plastics shop or sign shop. Good luck!

You might just try taking it to any auto glass shop, glass has a relativly low melting point, and people that know what they're doing could probably shape a window to fit the boat.

There is a marine swap meet somewhere in the seattle area, Its pretty big. Call the Center for Wooden boats , they know about it. Other than that start crusing backwater boat yards, there are a ton of them in the Puget Sound.
