Curious what we can expect for GH opener? We will be there giving it hell regardless. Is it to early this year based on some other fisheries so far? Hot action? King show only? Big shouldered Hook Nose Coho? Or a mix? Charters are still getting lots of Coho out of Westport but most are small. Any predictions?

Can you say.......rain, rain, rain.......or it could be "mass net killing" in the netting area....

Rain coming according to the forecast. Morning tides optimum, which are there in the morning for the first few days.

You don't indicate what you're reading in the regs, but NO, it is not open for kings this year.

What's the scoop? Did anybody find any fish? I was thinking of hitting the lower Chehalis or Grays Harbor on Friday. Maybe a little rain on Thursday might bring the first ones in.

Fished next to Doc off and on today. They were having a ball! We ended up hooking 30+ releasing 11 Kings. Bonking our 12 Coho. All nice buck hook nose 10#+. Hey Doc we were in the red Wooldridge next to you and landed a double pulling the 2nd one over the side ,hand over hand. What a day! Lake like conditions and a long bite. Surprised so few boats out. Doc, how did you end up?

My prediction for the upcoming weekend... The only thing more abundant than salmon in Grays Harbor will be boats. But remember, folks: No kings, and get off the water as soon as you get your coho. If the Region 6 office reads more than a few reports of multiple king encounters, the sport fishery will be cut short. Don't be THAT guy.
