Fished Point Defiance Sunday morning. Got a late start (8:00), and it went downhill from there. The boys enjoyed themselves, but the fishing was pretty tough. After 45 min of dodging other boats, we pulled up and went and played in the eddies around the Narrows bridge abutments.

Never got any bites, didn't see anyone else with a fish on, didn't see anyone land anything at the ramp.

I think everyone in WA decided to put some sort of floaty-thing on the water that day. It was sunny and 80+, so that kind of is expected.

The ramp was the most entertaining part of the day. With the nice weather and a -3' tide, there was lots of excitement. I had to pull one guy back up the ramp when his truck wouldn't start. Others dropped their trailers off the edge of the slab with no 4WD and got stuck, a couple fellows tried to launch their boats on the "out" ramp, some boats without fenders or lines, etc., etc.

SOME OF THE BEST LAUGH'S.
yeah watching some people whom haven't been out all winter come out and just to watch boat launchings can be side killing.
i seen the mess around pt defince launch, same at any of the more popular lakes.
can sit at the dock at spanaway and on a sunny day, watch the caoas of luanching multiply boats and cars all trying to get in the water at one time, some forget how to or do not know how to back a trailer down, others just park in the middle and then someone tries to back doen besides them, with little or no room. boats with out stoppers in, start filling up with water, then the boats to heavy for the light 2 wd truck to pull out on the slippery ramp, burn them rubber tires burnt!

thanks for reminding us of all the fun we sometimes miss by being early to rise.
