Well our plans changed. Now we'll be in the Everett area starting June 28. Since the salmon opener is July 3, I'm wondering if a charter out of Everett is worthwhile. Any info would be appreciated!

In the immediate Everett area (area 8-2 & area 9) the season doesn't open until Sept 1 and Sept 16, respectively. This is obviously to protect the last remaining chinook salmon.

However, the San Juan Island area, with a whopping 1 chinook limit, no coho, does open July 1. Most San Juan charters are based out of the town of Anacortes.
