I dont get it? The guy has been good there? Plus: Pelini is owed $7.65 million by Nebraska on his contract, extended after last season through February 2019. Nebraska's assistants are under contract through January 2016. His record has been good, but that doesn't matter when you alienate your fan base.

Right now we're 8-3, we better win our bowl game. Ten wins is our goal every year, but we'll give our coach a pass this year, since it's his first year...but there is a lot of room for improvement, and we better improve.

Just a matter of time before Hoke is gone from Michigan.
If TCU becomes the fourth team to make the play-offs, what do folks think of that?
As much as I don't like Ohio State, if they win the Big 10 I'd find it hard to put TCU in there since they don't have to play a conference championship game.

It's a strange year.
No team appears to have the qualities that put it well above the rest.
Maybe it's the electronic/communication age hitting college football.
No longer do schools recruit from a 200 or 300 mile radius.
The big schools recruit from everywhere as recruits see more options, fancy uniforms, pretty cheerleaders, etc. etc.
Moving towards parity ?

Spokesman review reports that defensive line coach Joe Salave'a has been given the title of assistant head coach. Hoping big Joe is being considered to take over as defensive coordinator. Got to keep the Polynesian pipeline going. I would expect Jeff Choate to be a candidate too. Auburn' defensive coordinator is also available.

First post since the Pelini firing and I'm VERY happy about it. I don't care if he won 9 games a year over the past 7 years - the guy was an abusive, control freak jerk that had no place at NU. AND he could never win the important games to boot. Buh-bye Bo - good riddance!
There's a hand full of head and assistant coaches that would make great replacements (Frost, Johnson, McElwain, Tressel et al). Frosty would make an interesting choice and he's always wanted to come back to Lincoln. The word in Lincoln is that the replacement has already been found - so who knows...

I still think that the Oregon Ducks are a fraud...they have had some very close games with teams that are nowhere near good enough to do that to a "playoff" team.
The Ducks almost got saved by Alabama losing...if they had then the Ducs would get to be #1 and play the #4 team, and the #4 team is looking to be mildly fraudlent, as well.
The Ducks are well placed to get well abused in the playoffs...but probably not in the first game, as FSU is the same way, and that's probably who they will end up playing.
Alabama will roundly trounce whoever the #4 team ends up being, the Ducks and FSU will play a good game, but only because neither one of them really belongs there, and whoever wins between the Ducks and FSU will get absolutely creamed by Alabama...I think Saban is enough of a douchebag that I may even root for the Ducks to beat them, but they won't, not even close.

Did you see Bama's defense? OU could put 60 up on them. Hell even Miles could have a career day against that secondary. They flat out suck! And I'm pretty sure a Kiffen offense is nothing to be afraid of.
