I find it to be a bad day when people are murdered.

Is there a lesson to learn from his debacle?

Oh, yeah, the way they surrendered to the murderers by calling up 90,000 police, SWAT, militia, and commandos and zeroing in on the whacko terrorists and snuffing them out? Those surrender monkeys?

The French might be pretty laid back wine swilling, foie gras, artsy cultured folks most of the time, but they will not be denied their political cartoons and religious satire! Remember, these are the same pansy asses that developed a foreign legion of complete social misfits who disemboweled Muslim Arabs just for the art of it.

"frog" for "French"/"Frenchman"

Mark Kronauer: What is the origin of the word "frog" when used as a slang term for "French" or "Frenchman"?
Terry O'Connor: English people and French people have long been enemies, culturally, militarily and commercially. In fact the two countries have almost been at war more often than at peace. (Well, not really, but it sometimes seems that way when you browse the history books.) So insults between the two nations are common. The French have described the English as a nation of shopkeepers and the English have described the French as a nation of frog-eaters. So, boil it down over the years and "frog-eaters" becomes frogs or froggies. N'est pas?
RICHARD YOUNG: The story I heard was that this term dated from the middle ages, when the French flag had a blue background with gold fleur-de-lys on it. The ignorant English, not knowing that the fleur-de-lys was supposed to be a flower, though that it represented a gold frog. Hence "frog" became a derogatory term for the French.

Now I must admit that I had always thought that, the term 'frog' had come from the fact that the Brtits lived on an Island surrounded by a salty sea, and the french lived on, well, swampland, with frogs aplenty.

The talking heads mouth, "I plead ignorance".

Perhaps I can eat cake.

I saw an interesting news column this morning about the killings. The journalists are killed and we all "stand up" for free speech. How many schools/colleges/etc. have not let somebody speak because of their message? We are rather schizoid on the question.

Obama and Biden couldn't show up to march in the streets of Paris without there being an assassination attempt. Or maybe that's why republicans are complaining.

Apparently there is no limit to the idiocy of some Islamic clerics. It's unusual but it snowed in northern Saudi Arabia while people are trekking to Mecca. So one of the faithful asked if it would be OK to build a snowman for the children. One of the esteemed whackos said in response that it would be sinful to make an image in the shape of man, that it would be like the infidels, that it would lead to lustfulness and licensiousness and on and on and on. What was it Eastwood said in Unforgiven, "some people just need killin'."

I am sorry they had to experience terrorism firsthand. Glad their government took decisive action, killed the terrorists, and didn't mince words (work place violence, my ass). Good going, frogs.

Their entry of the market showed they still need some work, but they got him, multiple times.

OK Hank, not my best call on why Obama shouldn't have been in Paris the other day. Just because POTUS can't correctly interpret the 1st A doesn't deter me.

I'm still in the screw 'em if they can't take a joke camp, and I'm just fine with whatever that does to or for my future.

Are the Boko Haram dipshits Muslim whackos, or just whackos? There's a few too many kooks on this planet that need vaporizing. Too bad we can't start by having Dan S. set 'em all on fire.

I don't mind answering your question, they are in fact Muslim whackos.
You must understand that they kill people while proclaiming, 'Allahu akbar'.

R. blackmouth,

Thanks. I don't remember reading that the B.H. are Muslims. The whacko part was a given.

I read yesterday about some moderate Muslims getting nervous about the bad name the extremists are giving them. About f'n time.
