I will probably try fishing for some chinook in the snowqualmie this fall and I was wondering what was the best method?, Plunking, drift fishing, Spinners, spoons, or bait? , I am relatively new to king fishing around here ( steelheading makes the biggest part of my river fishing time) and when I saw some of the ones going up I decied this is the year to try!. Thanks for any info,

I presume you're aware that the Snoqualmie is not open to salmon fishing.

hey chuck, i mostly use drift gear, corkies/yarn, been semi productive with it.. go light as possible on lead, which you pry allready know, and ive found out the fish i have hooked have been close to the bank, jus a observation..im not a expert, but like someone else said on one of the posts..keep hands clean, use scents to cover up yours..and i usually fish red & orange corkies for kings..sumtimes green and red combo..but its all preferance..hope this helps..tight lines..

Preston Singletary is correct, save yourself some dirty looks,a possible fine, and loss of your fishing license, Don't do it..

Howdy, I'd like to use this opportunity to help clear up a confusing wording in the Reg.s which I've seen cause unintentional poaching. First, Salmon fishing is not allowed unless in the "special rules sec." in the White collumn headed "Species" Salmon has it's own open/close dates and limits. What gets people is under the Blue collumn headed "Additional Rules" many times says "All Species-selective gear rules" giving the false impression you may legally target "All Species" Dolly Varden/Bull Trout and Salmon are still off limits, unless listed In the White "Species" collumn. Pure **** that needs changing last year.
