Trout lake for a 3 year old

Here's what I'm looking for.
A lake within an hour or so of Kirkland/Bellevue/Redmond, that feels mostly undeveloped and has a few trout in it for my 3 year old.
I'm thinking something a little more adventurous than Cottage Lake. He loves hiking through the woods and in the mountains. The only problem is he just turned 3 which means dad carries him a lot on long hikes.
Any good ideas for fairly low elevation trout lakes that are off gravel roads or include a short hike or that you can hike around? Anyone ever try Lake Langlois?

Not really the rural setting you are looking for, but you might want to consider Gissberg Ponds in Arlington. There aren't any houses around the ponds. They are tree lined and have trails around them. The north pond is juvenile only. Easy in, easy out if he gets tired, hungry etc..... Have fun, SF

Gissberg Ponds is a good suggestion.
other potential lakes that might fit your needs include flowing at the county launch or maybe Rattlesnake near North Bend? Rattlesnake might not be the best choice for shore fishing but has a nice trail heading up to the bluff above the lake the end of the ridge and as the lake drops there are plenty of shoreline and stumps to explore.

Come down to Elma and fish the Vance Creek pond.

Deep Lake between Cumberland and Enumclaw might be one to check out. Nolte State Park is on it, but might not be open now, as it is a seasonal, day use only park. Easy walking trail goes around the lake, with fishing access readily available. It's a Discover Pass site. Here's a link with some park pictures: http://washingtonstateparkstour.com/2013/08/22/nolte-state-park/
