HEY!!!!!! I finaly got one of them summer run steeleis!!! I am still pumped!!!! I didn't have to work today so I took my bro and cuzin down and we fished off Anderson Bar. I tried a new bait scent and man did it work!!!! I landed 2 and then hooked another and handed it off to my bro who hasn't had the chance to fight a steelhead. He did a good job but just as I was about to net it. It chewed the leader and swam back out!!! I finally got my first summer run. untill this year I havn't really went after them. but today I showed them that I was ready for them and I will be going back!!! WOW I almost wana not work the rest of the week and just go fishing. but then no work is no money and no money is no fishing so I will be working some long hrs the next few days and thinking about the next chance I will have to try them again.

YES!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! FISH ON!!!!!!!
then I had ANOTHER, then ANOTHER!!!!!!!!! then we had to go.

Now if everyday were like this

on cloud 9,

Congratulations on a very exciting day. What is the hot new scent if you don't mind sharing. And no I won't be standing in your hole at first light. I am out on the peninsula chasing my own fishies. Always get excited trying new stuff.

Sounded like a great way to spent the day off. A memory like that will not be forgotten. May there be many more days just like that one.....

Glad you had a great time! Not sure if you should have been fishing after the second fish?. Watch out now you've broked the ice. Good luck, Duck

I know I'd get an adrenilin rush if I got one on anytime soon! And I would if I got a fish on too. (Please pardon me Bob, I have a difficult time resisting setups. And it's a surgery recovery thing that's taking a little longer than I have patience for.)- RT

DZ, life as you knew it Before Summer Steelhead will never be the same as your new life. You will lose a-lot of sleep, money, career paths, etc. but you will have some incredible fish stories.

DC, Congrats!
I remember my first summer run like it was yesterday (98'). Enjoy every second because as most of us know it could be a while before # 2, 3 or 4 is landed.

Congrats on your fish dcrzfitter! You'll be having a lot of fun now. I noticed you passed on the chance to share info back to us BB members by not answering what the good scent you used for success was. Since you've asked questions and gotten help on here how about letting us know about the scent. We would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I noticed you made some posts Tue the 25th so must have seen the above messages and questions for you dcrz. Still no sharing or caring. Only taking. How is that consistant with this board's purpose or what you have gotten in response to your questions? And it's only about scent that you brought up! Not a secret spot or something.
