with the change in weather coming, I decided to take a day off work and take the boys fishing with me and Grandpa. I have a feeling that the numbers of fish we are seeing will probably decrease when the rain hits as they will probably move into the canal a little deeper...

We had an amazing day! the weather was absolutely beautiful and the water was glass. We got the first baits in the water at about 7 this morning and had the first fish in the boat at 7:10... it was non-stop action for 3 straight hours. We had 2 doubles where we landed both fish with one double coming when my dad was fighting a fish, I was at the net and my herring was just dangling in the water...

One of the boys hooked a fish tossing a spinner to a school of boiling coho... it didn't stick, but the explosive takedown was a thing of beauty...

We ran out of bait at 10:30 and decided to call it a day. 8 coho in the boat, 5 others released! Jonah and Levi were pretty stoked.

I bet they were.

Way to trade work for fishing.

They will always remember that often they came first.

another epic day for coho... limits were easy! Jonah is becoming a real pro at pulling in the coho on the trout rod!


we stopped at one of our favorite places in hood canal for a few photo's and to clean fish... many of you may recognize this place

Where were you stonefish? Boat or beach?

boat problems kept us from getting out to the good coho gounds today, but we managed to scape up a couple trolling with the electric motor...

....and I was able to get a new avatar photo this year!

kids are sure growing up.
