Finally got launched at about 4:45 this morning. Mooched, as the motor was running poorly. Caught nothing but dogfish. One of the guys I was fishing with even caught two at once. We didn't even see anyone hooked up. Heard a bit of hootin' and hollerin' but didn't see anything. The checker had 12 for 36 boats (including one over 30)at 9:30. Maybe tomorrow.

Why is it that ther is reports of so many chinooks being caught at seacrest and edmonds and their is no sign of them at the head of elliot bay? Are they running late or the counts just off.

Saw a few fish (3) come in to be cleaned at Seacrest dock between 5am to 8am on Sat 5th Spread the word that all watercraft are to stay away 100 yards in front of the Seacrest pier. Check the regs. Give those less well-heeled folks on the dock, who don't have access to a boat, their space and opportunity to catch their fair share.

Went out Saturday kind of got a late start, but put 6 hrs in and did pretty good! Trolling cut plug just west of the waterway just fast enough for the bait to spin, very slow approach. We didn't have downriggers either so we were long lining w/ 6 & 8oz. We had to keep a constant eye on the angle of our lines and quite often we would kick the trolling motor out of gear to let our lines catch up. Every time we had take downs was when we kicked the motor out of gear!! We were also fishing near the bottom. We had 4 takedowns 1 landed about 8# and 1 lost right at the dam boat!! He was about 16 - 18#. All in all we did pretty good.
