can anyone tell me is there a difference between a Cataract X wound Oar and a Counter balanced OAR? Or are they the same shaft with the handle being different?

the finish is better than the SST, not suppose to fade, they are lighter than the SST, Ive had a set for a while now and really like them. almost bought a set of proloks oars, I like these better so far.....

I have a spare oar that is a Cataract SST counter balance shaft. My main sticks are SST's non counterbalanced shafts. Can I just change handles and convert to counterbalanced shafts.

The Cataract X wound is one of there model oars. Totally different then any of there other oars. Counter balanced is not a type of oar its led thats in the grip. It is an option for there oars. I have the X-wound's with counter balances in them. If you want a light oar like the Xwounds then the counter balance kinda defeats the purpose in my opinion.
