The Snohomish is open. No emergency rules on WDFW's website.

For the record... for those mentioning dropping temperatures: I was in the lower Snohomish today and we saw temperature readings of around 16.5*c (61*f).... plenty cool, lets open the rivers DFW.

I see that the NF Stilly at the slide the temperature was down to the mid 50s. Things have cooled off substantially. Equally importantly the flows have jumped up. Over night the flow on the North Fork Stillaguamish peaked at nearly 4,000 cfs!

Something to keep in mind the low flows of the summer were driven largely by the lack of snow pack from last winter. We are entering the time of year where north Sound river flows are driven more by rainfall/ground water than snow melt- a different dynamic

Also see that Tulalip Bay has reopened for salmon; don't see any reason the various streams of the region could not be reopened for both salmon and gamefish; especially considering the 10 day weather and flow forecasts.

Thanks Smalma for the input! I called the Mill Creek office mid- afternoon to check on the criteria WDFW would use for re-opening the Stilly. I asked was it water temp or flow that would lift the restriction? No one knew... After further attempting to get an answer I was led to believe there would be a News Release soon(?) One can only hope as my tour of Marine View Dr. the last few days gives this old guy hope for my home rivers re-opening soon!

I drive over the Stilly daily. It has been high and muddy since the weekend (and this is the second time this season). Water levels and temperature aren't the limiter now. It's the process.

Didn't see anything on WDFW's website yet.
