Does anyone know if Rayonier is requiring permits again this year to access their land/roads in the Forks area? I know alot of people were caught off guard by this last year and not too happy.

Yes, you need a permit.

What were they unhappy about? It was advertised pretty widely that permits would be required and it shouldn't come as a surprise given Weyco and others started the trend before Rayonier.

With respect to fees, we have only ourselves to blame. Reckless use of private timber land was a big factor in the need to go to permits. It costs money to clean up after people that dump on private land, poach on private land, ruin logging equipment, cut down trees, etc.
