Police: Iowa man eats toilet paper to avoid DUI

IOWA CITY, Ia. – Iowa City police say a Conesville man tried to avoid DUI charges using an unusual method.

Ross McDonald, 39, was pulled over early Sunday morning after he was spotted going the wrong way on a local street, KGAN-TV reported. Officers say McDonald was extremely confused and didn’t know why he was getting pulled over or where he was coming from.

McDonald admitted to officers that he had consumed two drinks.

Officers say that during the arrest, McDonald was wearing a costume that featured male genitalia and that he tried to consume toilet paper, believing it would throw off a breathalyzer test.

It didn't work, and McDonald would later fail the breathalyzer test. He was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence.

Too bad it wasn't used toilet paper. And who carries toilet paper in their car for snacks?
