45 days to close that size of sale seems a bit quick to me.
Everything I've read said BPS was considering making an offer.
Haven't read anywhere were Cabela's has accepted an offer or that BPS has made one.

that title is a bit misleading. there's only one store that's set to close right now.
sure wish we could go back to the pre-IPO cabelas. seems like it's becoming more about souvenirs and casual wear than fishing and hunting.

Bass Pro sucks ballz.  I would have thought Cabela's market cap would be more than 3 billion. Probably opened too many stores in a short time, typical down fall for business's.

That was a pretty poorly written article and not "news". It is speculation based on a couple employees. The news media gets worse and worse.
Cabela's is not closing on January 1, that's just silly.
