On a related note. I was just at a funeral y'day, an anomaly in itself because in 22 years, I've only been to five of them and one was my mom's. Anyway, as the young widow was wrapping up her remarks for the congregation, she closed with this.

"So when all the couples here get home tonight, and start arguing over the small, petty things life throws your way, remember to keep it all in perspective. And just be thankful you even have someone to argue with. Someday you're going to miss them very much."

Life is short folks, live everyday in the moment because it could be your last.

I think more than anyone else who posts on this board, Mingo has shown us the path.

I can relate. It was a garbled message on my Verizon phone after fishing with Vhawk one day down at Cathlamet. My daughter told me the bad news when i finally had service.

I've never laughed and loved as before. Have moved on.
Life is what you make of it.

Thank you all for the amazing words of support. I'll tell you all, with full, blunt candor that the pain, anguish and indescribable grief are unbearable at times. But I have a great family and amazing friends who've pulled me close and are helping me through this. I had 17 amazing years with her, and I'd sign up all over again a billion times over if God would allow me the chance to be her husband again for just one more day.

Thanks again everyone. You have no idea how much this means to me.
