If you are in favor of this access, responding to the above link is critical, other hunting and duck hunting sites are asking thier pateons only to support projects that cator to duck hunting. Only a portion of the 17 projects will get accepted. Those with the lowest piblic support will be tabled until next year. And the same process will resume.
So if ya want it, let them know

Is this WildSteelheadCoalition the outfit that is trying to shutdown hatchery fish?

It's easy to confuse the two, fp, and the WSC is definitely no lover of hatcheries, but it's the WFC (Wild Fish Conservancy) that is suing WDFW over them. I recently had to put my foot in mouth after confusing the two.

I personally believe the WSC is only interested in reducing pressure on the OP streams by maximizing other opportunities, but whatever the case, they're a functional ally on this one, and I think they deserve kudos for putting this forward and giving us an organized place to express our support.

With that, Thanks, WSC. Support sent.

I read the complete article....

1. I don't fish my jet boat in the White Bridge area. There are many guides that do and do safely. I'm sure the impact is less than if there were no boats above White Bridge. I'm also aware that drift boats and pontoons have access at a few places above White Bridge. So it not like NO ONE is catching hatchery fish above White, just not like in the past.

2. Hatchery fish and wild fish spawning ????? I do know that many of the hatchery fish end up in the fish trap. Some of these hatchery fish are taken back to the hatchery, to be used for brood stock. Some of the hatchery fish are released above the dam, this has been going on for a long time, 30+ years.

There have been at least 2 truck loads of hatchery fish, recycled. The fish are taken from the trap, tagged and trucked back down river. They are released at XXXXXXXXXXXX. Gives sportsmen a second chance at the hatchery fish.......

I've heard very few comments on "drift boat / jet boat", since Green Diamond gated the 7400 line....why is that????? Just wondering.

Oh really?

Last time I checked, they are in full alliance with WFC. They are named as plaintiffs in the suit that will hold up the approval of the EWS programs in Puget Sound.

WSC = WFC. They are the same people giving each other pats on the back, or reach arounds if you prefer that. The only difference between WFC and WSC is that WSC isn't at good as grabbing tax dollars which in turn is used to sue WDFW or the feds over trivial bullsh*t.

OK, thanks, I'll have nothing to do with WSC, WFC or any other WTF they are and WTF they are representing.
