Your need to run back and forth between the boards and cross post even if it has nothing to do with the subject at hand is really Facking annoying.

I thought I remember some talk about limiting wild steelhead retention in WA awhile back. Maybe not or just talk?

New rule goes in April 1 (I think), but today, it's open season.

New Washington Sport Fishing Rules will be effective July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2016.

No wild steelhead may be retained after July 1, 2016.......

The next two months are the last chance to do it, and that guide in particular is "getting our limit!" every single day...his facebook page has his clients with two dead wild ones every single day that the river is fishable, and I don't see that changing in March, or April, either.

Weak..............Really weak. This BLEEDING should have stopped years ago. Great fish but most likely taste like cardboard.........unless smoked. Good luck,

I kept a largish hatch buck at 14# that was as colored up as that fish. It did in fact taste like garbage. The meat was very dry and nasty. Trophy hunters are so last millennia.......

I remember when we used to crap on the i fish board for censorship.

Any winter steel I have ever kept (all were hatchery) weren't worth keeping if you have ever eaten other salmonids and didn't need the meat. Live and learn I suppose. That pig was maybe intended for a skin mount if lucky.

Looks like your winter runs will get a pass next season, thanks for that info, I don't follow the regs out of my state much.
