Cabela's is having another annual sale. Fish Eagle rods are 50% off, so many of the rods are about $50.00.

Spinning and Casting...... 11.5', 10', 9', 8.5'

Line weight......8 - 12, 8 - 15, 10 - 20

Are these rods in the same ball park as the higher ends.....NO but they work good for many type of fishing.

I have 2 that I've had for 20+ years, Fish Eagle, and they continue to get the job done.

SALE----March 31 - April 10

Hey Drifter,

Those look like a real bargain, maybe I'll get a couple.

Any recommendation for model(s) to:

1. Pull herring with

2. Fish Kwiks on anchor.

eugene1:

I can tell you this.....10' 10 - 20 are used by people fishing springers on the Columbia right now.

I like the 8 - 15 pound, for sitting on the hook......spoons and plugs.

A 8' spinning rod, would be ok for "twitching Coho", either 8 - 15# or 10 - 20#.

I was looking for a 7.5 ' 10 - 20, for twitching but no can do.....used a 7' last 2 years and it worked ok but 7.5 or 7.3/4' might be better.

When you see how good they look, makes ya wonder how much the mark up is on ALL RODS....

Last I checked the handles were tiny on those longer ones. Any change in the newer gens?

Thanks, Drifter.

Might be worth the try for that $.

The handles look comparable to other manufacturer's offerings to my eye, JB?

Michigan style handle on the 10.5 and 11.5 spinning rods.

Try it, you might like it. I had my doubts before trying one too.

With the longer foregrip It gives you an extra foot of rod length when you need it, and still gives you plenty of handle to tuck under your elbow.
