and trout fishing is off the hook right now!!

boys and I have spent the last two nights fishing in the local lakes and they have had a ball... lots of big hatchery turds and some dandy carry overs that are feeding like crazy... Today was non-stop action all day long.

I swear the water is still 55 degrees, but that wont stop Jonah from swimming!

I had to go to Portland yesterday, but did manage to close out the regular winter season on a local stream the 31st. It was like a long warm summer day, my favorite kind of winter fishing.

Nice report Piper. Looks like fun and good looking trout as well.
Did you get a new craft or is that still the camo boat?

Thanks for noticing! Yep, I pulled the trigger on a new boat at the sportmans show in Puyallup this year... 16' Smokercraft Lodge Pro.

I was going to wait, but the wife and kids talked me into it, not that they had to do much talking smile We're super happy with the boat and I've taken it out just about every nice day we've had since I picked it up.

The fun part has been outfitting it. Since its my first new boat, I told myself that i wasn't going to outfit it with anything old, so everything I have put into it so far has been brand new and exactly the way I want it!

The kids are pretty new, but you have some miles.
