Rec'd the following note this morning:

I'm writing to let you know that we have selected John Long as the next Region 5 Director. John has an extensive background in natural resource and fisheries management. He started his state employment in 1992 as an intern with the Department of Wildlife. He subsequently worked his way up, holding positions in several programs and most regions throughout the state. John is a strategic thinker and a natural team builder. He will be a great addition to the executive management team.

John begins his new assignment on July 16th. Please welcome and support John as he transitions into his new position.

Jim

Looks promising. Maybe that region will coordinate with others now.
