Hey all, been off the board and out of the sport for a few years. Looking to take the kids for a little banky fishing this weekend. Looks like all the regular campgrounds are jammed. Anyone been to Nolans, Allens, or Hartzells recently? Enough room to get an 18' offroad capable toyhauler in there these days? Thanks. PM is fine.

Nolan's bar has been inaccessible for a while. Allen's mill was sold in the last year or two and I haven't been down there recently but it looked "open" when I drove by a few weeks ago. Last time I did drive down there it was real rough, I wouldn't take a 18" toy hauler down there.

Not sure what you're talking about for Hartzel. There's just the bathroom and launch.

There's coppermine bottom, and "upper clearwater" DNR campground on clearwater. Also Oxbow, and the south fork of the Hoh.

Good luck

Thanks Thaxor. I plan on hitting Oxbow first, but figure it will be full. Hartzel used to have a big gravel bar that you could park on. Not sure what anything looks like these days. Will have to do some exploring.

I always liked Allen Bar:

1. Was a big bar
2. Quite often, would see elk, while there
3. Was free in the old days, but fee was OK
4. Not too far in, but far enough that road noise was not a problem.
5. Fishing could be good, hated the fact the tribal netters were allow to net there.....

No matter what, enjoy the great outdoors....
