i didn't graduate with a degree in mathematics but is 600 50% of 8,000? Not quite sure but it doesn't seem right. Currently it is closed to sporties in Elliot bay, but why are the 1/4 blood indians netting there? I understand that one gillnetter got over a 1,000 fish yesterday. hmm, I got none. In fact I don't really care to retain any of these fish, this of course is my opinion and irrelevant to a 50/50 quota. It seems to me that these blue eyed white skinned people netting is a joke( sorry they are 1/4 indian). The fact is that most of them don't even make a living off of these gillnets, but infact use it only as supplementary income. Well, in my opinion open as many f*cking casinos as you want, but get your lazy asses out of the netting bussiness. Vote Carlson for Gov. in 2000.

Who are you going to offend? I'm as upset as you are and the indians are laughing all the way to the bank. What can be done to overturn the Judge Bolt decision, if anything? Are there certain people we can vote into office? The same thing goes on in hunting as it does in fishing. It makes me sick!!!

i think if the indians want to net they should do it the way their ancestors did.after all that's what their claiming to do.they should weave their nets out of bark and go out there with a carved out tree and see how many fish they would catch.i agree with you guys totally with all the money their making off of their new casinos somebody should make them stop killing fish.it's a election year and their must be someone willing to address to address this issue.but personally i think the indians are so rich now they would just buy the government off.

Hey guys, stupid it is al right but you know what? It's those casinos that enable the tribes to lobby the politicians and apply pressure to the appropriate soft heads in olympia and the other washington that gets them those god awful quotas that they show no remorse over exceeding! Whew, that was a mouthfull. You know what else? It's not even the indians that are gambling away the mortgage mony in the friggen casinos. If you want to support someone who can make a difference, go for a candidate that is for elimination of casinos in this state. If your mother in law wants to play keno she should take the gamblers express to Reno or Vegas and lose her money to the mafia instead. If it was good enough for my momma, etc.... But then again, since all politicians are basicly money grubbing whores you will be hard pressed to find one willing to take up the quest. Can you say initiative? The only way to get rid of the tribal casinos in this state is to first dump all non tribal gambling.

Hey the casino issue has always bothered me. I wrote a post on my feeling about this casino crap awhile ago. I believe that if the native americans can take half of our hatchery fish, than we should have the rights to 50% of their profits on casino revenue. That sound good to me. I know some may think thats stupid. Sorry thats now I feel. Did they have gambling before europeans came? No. Fishing was their trade for casinos...period. Leave our hatchery stock alone, and in return we'll leave the native stock alone. This isn't fare to slam them, they are play'in the legal game with the goverment. I have a respect for the natives. But how long are we responsible for the suffering of the native american? Why the heck do we have pay for something our fore fathers did long ago. The african americans suffered a worse fate. They didn't get a damn thing. As a group something has to change, the natives are greedy we don't do anything because we can't stand together. And in Washington D.C fishermen are dumb hicks that screw their relatives. The salmon are doomed. J.C.B
