It would definitely be worth a shot. Tides aren't ideal right now and not sure what the netting schedule is. Fishing during low water is grass city out in the bay. Also the two-pole endorsement is invalid above the S. Bend launch. No more fresh herring locally, I've found through experience that flash-thawing frozen bait doesn't work too well.

Does anybody know if fresh herring is available at Monte Square?

Yeah I avoid the bay cuz of the eel grass.

What tides am I looking for on the river?

I'm basically an ocean fisherman and don't know much about the WR fishery, so any input much appreciated. This looks like maybe a worthwhile diversion while I wait for Johns River Fishery to open.

Should I fish it like I used to fish B10?

I wonder if fresh anchovies would be good trolled with a helmet.

I don't fish that area but do understand that the netters were not allowed to fish in areas 2T and 2 U until 9/16/2016. 2 T and 2 U are the areas close to Tokeland.

Grass isn't so bad until you're in the bay itself but the gillnetters wipe them out when they are at it before the fish make the upper channel.

Helmets work well, 3-4 oz droppers, flasher optional.
