I don't care what anyone says about crusty ol' duffers, but somehow I seem to surround myself with some pretty good ones around here. Thanks for hookin' a brotha' up, Bill! Soaked 'em up in the secret sauce overnight..... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . And they .... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . Turned out.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ABSOLUTELY perfect! ...

How does Mirin compare to UEC? Is it more of a tidewater/lower river cure or inland/upriver?
I assume your making spawn sacs since the skein isn't present?
Good looking bait.

Woof. I'm pretty adventuristic, and that presentation is to die for, BUT. Too many childhood memories of being an egg fisherman and a nail biter at the same time. Yuck!

These are nothing like the jars of Pautzke's of your childhood trout fishing memories.... nor the nasty-ass boraxed baits you may have sucked down while nervously biting your fingernails streamside stalking steelies. (BTW as another hopeless nail-biter, I must say my nails look their best during extended fishing sprees using bait. 'Bout the only time I'm NOT habitually chewing on them) These are a culinary delight.... Here's another interesting discovery I observed with this last batch. Note how the red-dot is located at the TOP of each egg. That "dot" is actually pigment-rich micro-droplets of oil that rise to the top of the denser protein-rich albumin of the egg. If you invert the individual spheres, you can actually watch the oil rise to the opposite side of the egg.
