I'm looking for info on fishing the Columbia/Ringo area. I have a jet boat, so I need a boat launch. I'm looking for how to fish that area. Will be there mid-October. HELP!

Welcome BigDog;
Look back through posts to 9/22/00. Monster Chinook. There are a number of e-mails for info from board members in that post.

Hay BigDog, do you have a 4X4? If yes, you can launch on the downstream side of the irrigation canal. It's hard packed river rock but no problem with 4X4. The closest improved launch is in Richland at the Snyder boat ramp about 15 miles down river from Ringold. If you need more information let me know. EF

Hey EF.... I've got some more questions for you about the Ringold area. How do I contact you? Leaving for that area mid-next-week. Any chance you can touch bases with me soon? Any help will be appreciated!!!

Big puppy,

Glad to see you found your way to the BB. There are a couple of other posts here on this right now, one of which talks about low numbers of fish currently. Don't recall the title to it but it had something to do with the upriver brights. Talk to you soon.

Steve

TK - the thread is titled "Fall Chinook disaster" and is currently a little ways down the board. Also, click on the icon above any post (once the thread is open) that says profile and you will get that persons info.

Bigdog, sorry for the deley. I fished the Klickitat all weekend. Silvers are starting to filter in. I would be more than happy to answer any questions about the Ringold area. Fall Chinook has been slow for most boats. Of course there are exeptions. The return is not what was expected. They crossed Boniville and got lost. Maybe into nets. There are more Steelhead than salmon being caught. EF
