Has anyone been hitting the salt around Chambers Creek or the Nisqually? My buddy with a new boat wants to learn how to fish and I thought silver fishing would be a good place to start. Thanks, steeliedave

I don't know about that far south but the Point Def area is real slow now. At least for keepers. All kinds of shakers tho. Couldn't keep em off our lines. Good luck!

Try to fish the early mornings. That is the best bet right now. Pt. Fos****, Chambers Creek, Gibson, most of those places that hold bait will hold will hold fish. And as much as I hate to say it, we in the south sound need rain to push the fish down. They seem to be stuck up north in areas 8 and 9 and need a little liquid persuasion. Once they are in, troling herring, coyotes, bucktails, almost anything will work. Right on top until about an hour after light, then follow them deeper.
