Hello Fellow Humpy Slayers-

Its an odd year, so we all know what that means . . . OPEN SEASON ON HUMPYS . . . WHOO HOO!!!

I know its several months now till Aug-Sept, but I just read what has been working for you folks as far as corky-yarn color combo (I will be doing mostly drift fishing).

Friends and I will be fishing on the Nisqually.

Please include size of corky, yarn, colors of both and make and size of hook (yes, they will have to be barbless).

small white with pink spots and some of that glitter stuff on it if you can find them. if not coat with glitter nail polish. I also did well with the jar cured sand shrimp and a small winged bobber on the plunk. after my arms were sore from tossing jigs.

If you show up to a pink heavy river with a plunking setup, you will be ran off the river. Just saying.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't need any advice on fishing for pinks..

Pink mini squid skirt or a pink 3" worm on a jig head...or a white crappie jig.

For the rivers this is best. 8'6 ugly stick, 5000size reel(ass hooked u need all that drag) 1oz Cannonball, cigarette, Mickys 40 in the front of your neoprenes . A couple spools of ultra green( so you can make a couple leaders) two corkys with a alot of yarn and smelly jelly. Can't go wrong with this setup

From what ive seen. Just throw what ever out there. No science or skill of any kind is required.
