I'm trying to find a good report on the salmon fishing in the Sacramento area. I fished Verona 12 hours last Saturday with NO luck. I was told the Discovery Park area has been pretty hot. Any info would be great.
Also I've always fished kwikfish. Can someone please explain how to fish roe while anchored? I was told that method has been the hotter of the two methods.

I don't know if your fishing from the bank or from a boat? While I haven't been out the last three days myself a good friend of mine has. He has been fishing the Freeport area slow trolling kwikfish with 1 oz of wt. The last few evenings fishing they have hooked 5-7 fish each day landing 3-5 fish. If your fishing from the bank I would give the areas below Freeport to Clarksburg a try...plenty of access and the fish are here!!! Good reports from the Garcia Bend area also.

Thanks for the info. I'll be fishing from my boat. I've fished the Garcia Bend area in the past. I guess I'll decide Friday night where I'll be going. It's important for my to try to get a hookup or two for my dad. He's never caught a salmon before. His health isn't the greatest. I'll let you know how we did.
