Thank you Lester. If there is no other place closer I'll head down to Hermiston. I might have to try the Yakima below Prosser on the way down. Jim Marquis

Duck,

I have that coat it on my boat and just don't like it. I'm thinking about going with the sray on stuff like Line X or Rino. the stuff they spay in truck beds. I found a brand called Bull Hide and they said they would do it and warranty it for life. they allso can make it a smooth surface to prevent drag. I might just spend the money and do it and not have to mes with it ever again.

i had the bottom of my boat coated with line-x and i love it. i fish a couple skinny rivers and slide over the rocks, instead of hanging up. the desision has to be final becuase they have to sand blast the bottom of the boat to make the line-x stick.

How long have you had that Line X on yer boat? how much did they soke you for it? I am really looking at doing something like that. Did they give any kind of a warranty?

dczifter probably wrong, sorry.
i have had the line -x on for about 4 years and i am completely happy. it was spendy right at $350. it has a lifetime warranty so i felt the up front cost was worth it. just a couple days ago i had two good sized guys in my boat and we went through a shallow riffle. we drug bottom, but slid through. a guy behind me tried the same thing and got hung up. the only draw back was i think it added maybe 10 to 20 lbs to my boat. hope this helps

tyeeterror,

thanx man!! I am really thinking about going with something like that. Was Line X able to do a smooth finish or was it textured? As for the extra wieght. I figured it would be a little more but it is evenly spread and not just at one end of the boat so I figure I won't really knotice it. Thanx again.

they are able to get the finish down to a pretty smooth surface. i would compare the finish to that of a orange. it appears to have had no effect on the boat, i still pull plugs and back bounce with no problem.
