Just saw the Regulatory announcement that Commercial Areas 7&7A (San Juan's and Point Roberts) will be open to commercial pinks fishing by Indian and Non-Indian gill nets, purse seines, and reef nets 9/1-5.

Enjoy sharing the water. On a side note, in addition to there having been about half the forecast of Fraser sockeye returning, the pink have been downgraded (preliminarily) to about half of forecast or slightly less than 5 million.

I thought everyone else couldn't fish when the tribes were in? Thats how they did it at Hoodsport this year. Tribe was netting, whether the nets were in at the moment or not, no fishing. They claimed that us white folks were disrupting the sacred rituals (smoking weed and drinking natural light, and falling out of their 200hp canoe).

Ha.. like it's ONLY the tribal guys there doing that right jp? Gfr, the "fishermen" there aren't much, if at all, better.

And just to clarify, there were issues between the fisheries, as is evident by YOUR OWN statements on this site in the past about throwing hay bales, messing with their fisheries and verbal harrassment....not to mention your actions there from your chair along Purdy creek from back in the day.
