Chasin' Baitman Returning Adult Registered: 08/15/12 Posts: 253	There are only 12 steelhead in the Kendall Creek hatchery, and several reports of sport catches of wild steelhead. Quote: COMMERCIAL SALMON: COMMERCIAL STEELHEAD: NOOKSACK RIVER AND LUMMI SHORE ON RESERVATION PORTION OF BELLINGHAM BAY (7B) ARE OPEN AND CLOSES 4 PM FRI. DEC. 22, REOPENS 4 PM, SUN. DEC 24 AND CLOSES AGAIN 4 PM FRI. DEC. 29. RESTRICTIONS: FISHER MUST OBTAIN A PERMIT FROM THE FISHERIES OFFICE PRIOR TO FISHING. MINIMUM MESH SIZE IS 5 INCHES. ALL CATCH MUST BE EXAMINED BY NATURAL RESOURCE STAFF, CALL 312-2321. CATCHES MUST BE RECORDED ON FISH TICKET AND STEELHEAD PERMIT. MUST COMPLY WITH TITLE 10 AND THE STEELHEAD REGULATION #2017-87 POSTED IN THE FISHERIES OFFICE. CHECK THE HOTLINE REGULARLY FOR UPDATES FISHERY MAY CLOSE ON SHORT NOTICE.

The only difference this year is that the river hasnt been closed yet for sporties to allow fish to escape to the hatchery. _________________________ Maybe he's born with it. Maybe it's amphetamines.

Bobber Downey Jr. Parr Registered: 04/01/15 Posts: 46 Loc: Bellingham, wa	Floated the river today. Barren as a desert with fisherman, same with the fish. Only exception to this were the 10 gillnets we saw on the mainstem and bum camp under the bridge. Friday is the last legal day of netting, please report to law enforcement anything after this date!
