Yep. I have a couple. They are fine plug rods and great for downrigger rods as well. I love them .They are all Herzog uses for kokanee downrigger rods.

I've got two, and they are the best plug rods I've ever owned...

Fish on...

They have them at sportco, In fife. They are great, I have two 10 ftr's for downrigger rods and they have preformed very well, fashioned after the old eagle classic glass as I was told. Good luck, Matt

Great for downriggers, too soft for plug rods. Tough to get a good hookset in bony chinook jaws. jmho.

LoweDown....speaking of which....how about an explaination of your avatar? Is that rod in the pic the one with the fish on? It's a cool picture and I'd like to hear the story.

It's a bit embarassing actually... During one of the small windows last November we snuck in the Sol Duc as it had dropped down to about 14 boards and 2 1/2' of vis. We did well fishing for coho at the top of the drift, and I anchored in one of my favorite chinook zones so we could eat lunch. It was sporadically dumping snow, and as we were eating it started coming down so hard you could barely see. I noticed as it started to ease up that snow had actually accumulated on the line itself and thought that might make an interesting picture....

We sat there for another fifteen minutes after I took the picture, and then decided to move on. The guy in the photo goes to reel in his rod and when he picked it up he said "Hey, how come my line is going waaaaayyyy downstream?!?"

At first I thought some debris had grabbed it, as alot of sticks and branches were coming down, but when he reeled down on the rod he felt headshakes, set the hook, and ended up landing and releasing a 40 lb. dark king. We'd totally missed the bite and the reel dumping about 150' of line because of the whiteout. The river went back out of shape the next day.

Where is Bobs?

I like the lamiglas CP glass knucklebuster rods for trolling in the salt. They are a blast to fight fish with and the glass makes for a durable boat rod.

I probably have about 200+ kings so far on my CP Glass rods and they are still in mint condition. All saltwater downrigging, mooching and trolling. Great rods with a lifetime warranty. I have MED/HVY and am tempted to buy two more in MED for silvers as they seem a bit stiff for the smaller scrappy silvers. Perfect for kings though.

Scratch that. I have the MED not MED/HVY. Plenty rod for kings into the high 30's.
