So the 10% surcharge on all license fees ranging from crab to pheasant passed through the leg. It hasn't been signed by the governor yet, but I assume that's really just a formality. Here's a link to read the bill: House Bill 1778

Seems like their is a slight loophole though. It takes 90 days for the law to take effect....so for folks that need to save a bit of money on their crab endorsements, or hunting permits, or if you haven't bought your fishing license...BETTER DO SO NOW!! Or at least before the middle of July!!

Seems like the 2 pole option is $20 and only good for trout in unspecified lowland lakes. Not a go for salmon, steelhead, or halibut...dang. Oh and apparently it's only $5 for seniors.
