Great looking shots. Will be fun to try it out in a couple of weeks. Very curious to see how fast or slow it is to focus and shoot.

Good looking pics. If you had the auto-exposure settings turned on, the camera did a great job. Good Bokeh, & Nice and Sharp subjects too.

the Tough 8000 threw me a loop when I read you needed to send it back occasionally to be resealed at $140 a pop. Whoa there! Where did you read this? Email me the URL. I'll be fraking pissed off if I ever have to send that Olympus 8000 back.

The new panny looked like an option too ... but that's the one I read about required seal replacement on to be covered under warranty. It had better vid ratings. I simply liked the fact that the optics were more in line with traditional higher-end digitals rather than super compact glass thaqt you were trying to get a lot of resolution out of. It's still small enough to wear on my neck like I usually do all the time ... a little bigger, but not too bad. I'll post some more pix in another thread to cut down on bandwidth a little later

I'll be fraking pissed off if I ever have to send that Olympus 8000 back. Damn. Not having a good week. I must have jinxed myself, as after taking out the memory card out of the Olympus last week, I noticed corrosion and pitting on the metal door to the waterproof battery/memory compartment. The waterproof seal was valid, but I'm more than a little pissed off that there's corrosion on the door. That can't be good. Had to send it back to Olympus at my cost plus the $9 for them to send it back to me. 3 rods and 2 cameras this year so far. Wonder what's next on the list of stuff I'm either going to break, or find defective? PS. I wonder if I can start charging these companies "Product Testing" fees?

Got the camera back. What does it say when I sent the camera in to have the waterproof battery compartment door looked and the only things replaced were the: CCD and lens! So..... Apparently the door is/was fine. The guts and lens of the camera, not so much!!! I was wondering why the last few shots of the camera looked as those my Palsy was coming back!
