When running hot n' tot or mud bug style divers, do you guys tie directly to the divers "s" hook (mud bug) or elongated snap (H-n-T) with your main line or do you tie on a snap to the main line and attach with that? I usually just run jet divers on sliders but am setting up a couple of "crankbait" style diver rods for some shallower fishing. Just not sure which is best, attaching direct with main line or using a crosslock style snap for these inline divers? Thanks for the help..RJ in Montana

WOW! 109 looks and no reply. I do a bit of diver fishing and I tie my mine direct, never seems to be an issue.

it depends on the water i am fishing.if it stays close to the same depth or if i need to change how deep i want to run. if i am going to change depth a lot i go with a sliding rig.

I run brad divers on a slider just like the jet divers, maybe just a little shorter dropper , I attatch a duo lock from the main line to the elongated snap for a little extra wiggle

Thanks for the reply's...I already have two rods set up with sliders to run Jet divers, I just want to have a couple of other rods set up with Brads divers on for some shallower stuff. I hate re-rigging rods while I'm trying to fish so I prefer to have both set up. I was getting stuff tied up this weekend and wound up tying direct to the Brads divers. If I encounter any problem or want more action from the divers I'll try them with a snap. As long as they're tuned and don't blow out or roll and twist they should work fine. I'm running 14# mainline on those rods so should hold up OK to abrasion.
