Hello forum members. Salamander Sinkers is a proud sponsor of Piscatorial Pursuits. Over time we will place posts and videos on the forum that will be designed to help anglers catch more fish. Let me tell you about us.

Salamander Sinkers - a family of snag resistant, lead free fishing sinkers was design by an angler who got tired of losing rigs. They are great for bottom bouncing, current fishing, drift fishing, and trolling. They will slide and roll over rocks while keeping the bait in the fish strike zone. Use them for bass, salmon, steelhead, trout, walleye and other types of fish. Works with all types of bait including: beads, roe (eggs), floating crankbaits, flies, poppers, soft plastic and live bait. Visit us at www.salamandersinkers.com

Looks like they would work great for free drifting and casting Dick Nites for Silvers,,, but we all know that is a secret.

Salamander Sinkers is outstanding for casting and trolling. Each sinker has a recess on the front that allows water to enter and leave under force in 360 degrees. This force causes the sinker to track in a straight line without wobbling or tumbling regardless of retrieval speed. The recess front is also used to serve as part of the snag resistant feature of the sinker. It acts like a bumper when it hits a rock or obstruction and bounces off.

SALAMANDER SINKERS INTRODUCES NEW MODELS

Salamander Sinkers introduces three new models of our inline sinker; 1¼ oz, 1.0 oz and ¾ oz. The 1¼ & 1.0 oz sinkers are used for trolling and bottom bouncing. Drift fish them in swollen rivers that are unfishable with conventional tackle. The ¾ oz sinkers work well in shallow rivers with swift current.

The 5/8, ½, 3/8, and ¼ oz sinkers are for general conditions depending on the water level and current.

The 1/8 oz sinkers are for ultra light fishing and finesse conditions. They are good for trout, panfish and other fish.

• Great for bass, salmon, steelhead, trout, walleye and other types of fish
• Use Salamander Sinkers for bottom bouncing, casting, current, drifting, and trolling
• Works with all types of bait including: live, beads, roe (eggs), plastics and crankbait
• Environmentally Friendly Steel Weights (No lead)
• Out performs pencil lead and slinkys

For a demonstration of the sinker in action please watch the following videos: Alaskan Salmon on Salamander Sinkers, Corona Lake Trout on Salamander Sinkers Ultra Light

So I spent a few hours perched on the bow of Castinpearls' boat this morning and I had the opportunity to use a Salamander Sinker. I used a bobberdoggin' setup, a 3/4 oz BM float, and a 5/8 oz Salamander Sinker.

Below all of that was some eggs. I have to say, these are pretty dang good for bobberdoggin. I fished all morning on the same leader and was throwing in and around the junk. They are less sticky than a slinky, and I think that is the main difference. By the time we quit I was pretty confident in that sinker setup.

Anyway, just a quick product review for y'all. See it in the picture.

They snagged up noticeably less than what I usually bobdog with. Which is a fat lead chunk or long slinky.
