Made my second 3-day trip of the month to Neah Bay, fished Thursday evening, Friday & half day Saturday (July 19th). Kings have really slowed down. those being caught were almost all inside the Straights but reports on those were few & far between. We fished mostly out on the ocean & got zero kings. Silvers have showed up and provided steady but not red hot action for us at Table Top, none reported inside yet. Others we spoke to reported same out at Umatilla, lots of silvers now but no kings. Very few boats ventured outside as ocean was pretty rough until mid morning each day. Good news is that the silvers seemed on average larger than past years for this time of the year. About 2/3 of the silvers were natives so we had plenty of catch & release on Saturday. Both Friday & Saturday the silver bite seemed to be done by about 10:00 when it just went dead each day, so be out there early! Fishing pressure was very light inside or outside, likely due to cost of fuel these days.

Oh by the way, water temperature at Tatoosh and along the ocean shoreline was only 48 degrees. Out on the open ocean at Table Top it was 52-53 degrees.
Those shoreline temps the lowest I've seen up there this time of year.

Glad to hear you found some silvers. we only scratched up a couple on Saturday after finding none out at swiftsure friday afternoon. We got ours on table top too but it was wierd to be out in those spots with no birds at all. Commies were running out past us so maybe they are just holding way out in warmer water. The last 4 years we have been having 30 to 100 fish days out there. We did get a few kings but nothing to get excited about.
Also a nice halibut in about 80' of water jigging for lings. Still plan on at least a few more trips up just hope it gets better. Shoot me a PM if your going up again...Art
