Every year I go and spend the third week of August in area 7 north crabbing. Which starts for me in a couple of days. I have never caught a salmon in this area and I always try. Is there a reason there are no Salmon swimming is this area? Does anyone know how far I would have to travel to get to good salmon fishing? Thanks for any advice or direction. Glenn

Silvers head up California Creek and Dakota Creek around October, so they're passing through the bay sooner or later.

People fish there, but I've never seen one caught.

Rep,
If you get a good map of the area will help you get on the spots for fishing and look for the hordes of boats and jump in line thats one of the best fish finders for the Island area, my $0.02

Happy fishing :-)

Where would you suggest I could get some of these good maps of which you speak? Ha Ha I will be going thru Burlington on Sunday on my way to Birch Bay can we meet up or is there a place I could drop off your maps or better yet meet us at Birch Bay for some crabs. CQ was pretty good this year lots of wild "unmarked" Silvers it just breaks my heart to think of how many we killed to get our two fish limit. Glenn
P. S. shouldnt you change your signature to mineslead

Where is Alden Bank? Is it a good King spot or Silvers? Just wondering if I should throw in the Down riggers or just use divers and lead.
