Sorry I had a last min Cancelation from a friend, I Posted last min, and then my wife re-arranged her day, and went with. It was Epic, I saw more fish in tail outs, then I have seen in 15 years, one area just above the Cabins had 11 fish paired up in 15 inches of water, we watched two fish come and settle in the shadow of my oars, both in the 8-10lb range, then a monster buck with some sores on his back, came out of no where and ran the smaller one off, he came back and slid in behind the hen and we just watched, the weather was awsome, we had the first double of the season on plugs, one came out of the water at least six times before landing it, then we landed the other, a low teens hatchery fish, chrome bright. Of the 14 we landed only 4 where chrome, two hatchery kept, but of the 14 only one was a kelt. Hooked a few more. And we where the only boat on the float... A great day, No an Awsome day. Next week the new ride heads south to Oregon, to get a UHMV bottom on it and be ready for next year. Now shifting my focus to Springers for the last 5 days.

Glad you were able to get the wife out with you. Mine is definitely a fair weather fishing partner and dislikes floats because she's stuck in the boat for the entire float if I happen to piss her off.

You mean "when you piss her off?"

Exactly!!! Made the mistake of getting a little perturbed with her after snagging up on the same root wad about 7 times. This happened early on a long float. Needless to say the rest of the day was miserable. I can't complain though, she has put up with me for over 25 years now. Getting too old to retrain or be retrained by another one.

It's funny that you think you are trained.
