Went out for a couple hours after hearing the news, couple bobber downs (not a huge fan of bobber fishing), stuck this nice trout, hooked something and lost it not sure what it was.... Anyone else do any good?

Got going as soon as I heard the news (a perk of self-employment). Fished hardware on the Sky from about 1:30 to 8pm without touching anything, then finally hooked up, fought, and landed a hot hatchery fish on a copper spoon. Then, when I was about to bonk it, it flopped right back into the river and swam away. Looks like I'm out of practice on Bankfishing 101 - how not to lose your fish. Oh well, at least I got to do all the fun parts (except eating it). Sure you did.

Makes my first reply even better! I am just envious. I haven't fished since last AUGUST. No joke. I just thought there was an obvious hole in your story. As far as the wife goes... Fishing... Ya, that's it... Fishing, that's the ticket.
