I attended a meeting at the Issaquah Hatchery in 2009 (maybe 2008?), packed house. WDFW shared their PS Steelhead Management Plan, which included the death of hatchery summer steelhead in the Snoqualmie, elimination of off-site hatchery plants throughout the Sound, and creation of steelhead gene banks. A Snoqualmie tribal representative went up to the podium for public comment; the crowd's response was super negative and WDFW representative acknowledged that they didn't consult the tribe because they were not a treaty tribe... I guess they are now voting with their wallets. I bet they are more imbeded local politics than we think. Follow the $$$. Hmm.

You cannot have two bosses with opposing agendas and expect a company to flourish anymore than we can expect a dysfunctional Co-management system to save our salmon. Once again, you nailed it Bay wolf!
