I see gillnetters parked at the Port Of Edmonds guest docks but can not find any information about NT or T openings.
Whazzup?

I just went to the WDFW new-improved-and generally gee-whiz website. I located a page for to 2019 regs. So, next year they'll tell us what happened.

Must employ persons that "input data" VERY SLOWLY!!!!!!! Takes too long to get information to the web site ..... to many persons have to OK data before it can be posted, example NT gill net totals in Willapa, 2 weeks to post information, still not posted from week of 9/13 - 19......and NT have a 24 hour call in.....so where is the hang up???????

Oh FFS. Back in the 80s all catch data was on computer and available for release by request. I and NI. The catch system then had north of 95% of the catch in the system three days after landing. ALL.

In addition, there were in-season updates on most PS, GH, and WB runs plus the allocations and harvest remaining. All available for a phone call.

Absolutely C-Man! I used the information from the landings reports to find violations of regulations. For example, seiners could keep chinook if they were a minimum of 28 inches, which to my way of thinking was about 8-10 lbs or larger. Reports from some commercial fishermen showed lots of landings of about four pound chinook. We filed charges on nineteen seiners for keeping under sized chinook and got eighteen convictions with the help of Expert Testimony from WDF salmon biologists. Sadly that system disappeared after a while.

I was involved in one where fishers claimed that they had taken some big Chinook in a set net fishery. More likely, they were taken in a stream in BC. I and another bio worked with US Customs as they were smuggled into the US. Involved in a number of cases like that. Nice to know you got convictions.
